AFC South Draft Grades: Jacksonville Jaguars

Marqise Lee.

Marqise Lee

Jacksonville Jaguars
Analysis:
Obviously much of this grade will depend on if Bortles becomes a franchise quarterback. If he does, look out for the Jaguars, who nearly pitched a perfect game with the remainder of their selections. Adding receivers Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson in the second round immediately gives Jacksonville a huge boost on the perimeter. Guard Brandon Linder adds toughness to the interior line, and the selections of Aaron Colvin, Telvin Smith and Chris Smith have great value. Colvin was one of the better corners in this draft. He is coming off injury, and could be redshirted for a season. I’m interested to see how head coach Gus Bradley uses Telvin Smith? Smith played as an undersized (6-3, 218) linebacker for the Seminoles. Will Bradley keep him as an outside backer … or does he look at him as the next Kam Chancellor? No matter how he uses him, it was a great selection, as was Chris Smith, who brings pass-rush ability to the defensive front.
