3rd Round: Picks 85-89

85. Green Bay Packers: Khyri Thornton, DT, Southern Miss. Thornton is a hustler, and has an edge to his game. He fits a need as the Packers try to put together a defense that can match their offense.

86. Philadelphia Eagles: Josh Huff, WR, Oregon. I predicted this pick earlier today. Huff is not a finished product and is one of the better run-after-catch receivers in this draft. A great addition to go along with Jordan Matthews.

87. Kansas City Chiefs: Phillip Gaines, CB, Rice. Gaines (pictured above) is a big, long corner that needs to become more physical. Need area for the Chiefs, who need to cover Denver’s weapons at least twice a season.

88. Cincinnati Bengals: Will Clarke, DE, West Virginia. Rangy defensive end, that could help make up some of the pass rush that was lost when Michael Johnson left via free agency.

89. San Diego Chargers: Chris Watt, G, Notre Dame. Philip Rivers needs a clean pocket, and Watt can help make that happen.
