Rookies of the first round

In preparation for our mock draft I thought I would hit on a couple of future Rookies coming in this year. With a mass of talent at multiple positions, the rookie class of 2014 could end up as one of the best drafts since 1983. We will not know for sure until next February but the way it looks right now, this class is looking to make a run at a nice
One of my favorite talented evaluators is, Mike Mayock from NFL Network but he has me scratching my head on a couple of his evaluations. For instance he has Jace Amaro ranked at 90 on his top 100. Now granted tomorrow doesn’t play the prototypical tight end position he’s more like a Dallas Clark, or a pre prison Aaron Hernandez. One of the best things about Amaro is his hand strength and ability to create mismatches, whether it be linebackers, defensive backs, or safeties. If I’m a head coach of a passing offense team like the Patriots, Packers, Lions, or really any team, this guy makes you better in the red zone and on short yardage downs.
The next is Darquez Dennard. Dennard has the ability, speed, and attitude to be a top corner in the league. I do feel that there is a lot of hype around him and maybe that is why you shy away from the talented ex Spartan. With his ranking he would be a 2nd to 3rd round draft pick and would be an serious steal in the second round.
Odell Beckham Jr. Mayock called Beckham Jr a number 3 receiver with the possibility as a returner. I see Beckham Jr as a Hines Ward reboot. He’s a guy that always seems to come down with a ball even when he’s out matched with numbers. Will be a very good possession receiver also with strong hands and a hard nosed style he would fit into any receiving corps with ease.
Tell us who you think is under the radar.
