Football Memo

More players you should be thinking about

Moving toward Fantasy Football season, I feel it necessary to make sure in your last two rounds you’re not doing the “best available” route. “Best available” is not a bad way to go, but why not use those rounds to continue to build your monster with a plan.
Adrien Robinson, TE, New York Giants-With injuries piling up on Robinson in his first couple of years, the Giants have never really gotten a chance to kick the tires on the 6’4″ highly-athletic tight end. I can see a Julius Thomas type star inside of Robinson, the only question is: will he live up to the hype? Imagine landing a top 5 TE in the last round. This could be your guy.
Kenny Stills-Now this is a name you should know. Stills made the most of his opportunities in New Orleans last season. With the Saints parting ways with Lance Moore and Darren Sproles, Stills’ value will be high this year. Projected as a lock No. 2 for the Saints, expect to see him pop the top off a lot of defenses this year. Expect low-to-mid No. 2 production, and he will be a great flex or No. 3 for you at a discounted price.
Jacquizz Rodgers-Will this be his year to finally break out of the shadows for the Falcons? I believe so. With Steven Jackson clearly showing his age, the big-play potential with ‘Quiz is too much for the Falcons to let sit on the bench. Although it was thought that last season would be his breakout, obviously the club knew it wasn’t going to be a contender: so why get the explosive small back injured? Rodgers could be a perfect fit for someone looking for a good No. 3 or flex in a points-per-reception league.
Lance Dunbar-The Cowboys’ backfield was a tough nut to crack in 2013. With DeMarco Murray firmly in the No. 1 slot, most will overlook Dunbar come draft day, which is good for you. Last season when he got his shot he averaged 5.0 yards per carry and has  the explosiveness to break off big plays. Couple that with erratic play calling for Murray, Dunbar should see a larger role going into his third season. What that means is: while other people are drafting there second defense or kicker, you can be building up your trade values. Right now I have him as a mid-No. 4 back with potential of a mid No. 2
Ronnie Hillman-Now that Knowshon Moreno is a Fin most people have Monte Ball as the lead dog in Denver. Hillman will most likely be in a time share with Ball so his numbers should be pretty comparable to a Joique Bell. Great thing about that is your getting a high value for a low price.
